Commission Awards Contracts for Southeast District Projects

SIKESTON - The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded several contracts for Southeast District projects during its regular meeting on July 11.  Awarded contracts include a bridge replacement, two pavement improvement projects and guard cable installation. Contracts include the following:

•  A $1,544,856 contract was awarded to Widel, Inc., Blackwater, Mo., to replace the bridge on Route E over the St. Francis River in Madison County.

•  A $3,814,028 contract was awarded to H.R. Quadri Contractors, LLC, Van Buren, Mo., to resurface and add shoulders to 26 miles of Route 106 in Texas and Shannon Counties, from Route 17 to Route H near Eminence.

•  A $4,235,966 contract was awarded to Magruder Paving, LLC, Troy, Mo., to improve Route 72 and add shoulders from Route 32 in Dent County to Route 21 in Reynolds County.

•  A $6,679,015 contract was awarded to Apex Paving Co., Cape Girardeau, Mo., for installation of guard cable on Interstate 55, from Interstate 57 to the Arkansas state line.

Additional information, regarding timelines and impacts to traffic, will be released prior to the start of construction.

Work zones will be marked with signs as work is underway. Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling in these areas and plan for possible delays. MoDOT will alert drivers prior to any changes in traffic.
