Where: Henry County Route J between Missouri Route 52 and West 1st Street in Calhoun
When: 7 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday & Tuesday, March 30 & 31
What: Contractor crews removing trees ahead of a project to replace sidewalks and resurface Route J later this summer
Traffic Impacts:
- Route J reduced to one lane where crews are working
- Drivers will encounter flaggers directing traffic through the work zone
- Drivers will have access to all driveways and entrances during this work
- Drivers should watch for crews and equipment close to the road and should expect slowed traffic and delays
- No signed detour
- Drivers urged to find alternate routes
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the closure
- Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
This work is part of a contract to make pavement and sidewalk improvements at various locations in Bates and Henry counties. That project is expected to start mid-summer 2026.
