Lane closures on US-50 west of Knob Noster for bridge rehabilitation, March 30 - June 2026

JOHNSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will conduct lane closures on U.S. Highway 50 west of Knob Noster beginning on Monday, March 30 for bridge rehabilitation work on the US-50 westbound bridge over Clear Creek. Traffic on US-50 eastbound and westbound will be reduced to one lane. Crossovers will shift westbound traffic onto the eastbound lanes in a head-to-head configuration to cross the eastbound bridge before returning to the westbound lanes. The project is scheduled to be completed in June 2026. All work is weather permitting.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can also be short-term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
