Ramp and lane closures on U.S. 71 NB over 11th Street in Jackson Co for bridge work, May 28 - May 29

JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting bridge deck pavement operations on U.S. 71 northbound over 11th St. in Kansas City on the SE corner of the downtown loop resulting in ramp and lane closures. All work is weather permitting.

See below for traffic modifications:

6 a.m. on Sat., May 28 until 6 p.m. on Sun., May 29

  • Closure of the right lane of I-70 WB at Brooklyn Ave.                               
  • Closure of WB I-70 at exit 2K (Harrison St/Troost Ave).
  • Closure of ramp from Paseo to I-70 WB.                                   
  • Closure of ramp from I-670 EB to I-70 WB.                              

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can also be short-term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
