U.S. 60 Detoured Overnight for Route AA Overpass Construction at Miner, MO

Westbound March 30, 31 & April 1 and Eastbound April 8, 8 & 1

SIKESTON— Construction of the Route AA bridge over U.S. Route 60 at Miner, Missouri continues as contractor crews plan to set steel deck panels for the new overpass. As the deck panels are set, U.S. 60 traffic will be diverted to utilize a signed detour.

This section of roadway is located from Route 61 to Interstate 57 near Sikeston, Missouri.

The westbound lanes of U.S. 60 will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the evenings of March 30, 31 and April 1. The eastbound lanes will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the evenings of April 8, 9 and 10. All work is weather permitting.

During this time, U.S. 60 traffic will be detoured to utilize Route 62 between the U.S. 60/Route 61 and U.S. 60/I-55 interchanges. The detours will be signed and only activated during the overnight hours.

Completion of the new bridge is anticipated July 31, 2026, weather permitting. The Route AA closure will remain in place from County Road 482 to Lynual Street until the new bridge is completed. The Route AA bridge has been closed since December 2024 due to damage sustained by an over-height vehicle.

The work zone will be marked with signs and a detour will be in place. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
