JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – For the safety of the traveling public, one lane of eastbound Interstate 70, east of Columbia, is closed at Boone County Route Z, mile marker 133.8, for emergency pavement repairs. Motorists should consider alternate routes or give themselves extra time to travel through this area as backups are expected. The duration of the closure is unknown at this time but will likely last overnight into Thursday, March 5.

Drivers are reminded to slow down and pay attention in work zones. Buckle Up. Phone Down.
