Commission Awards Contracts for Southeast District Projects

SIKESTON - The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded contracts for Southeast District projects during its regular meeting on May 4. Awarded contracts included pavement improvements and on-call repair contracts.

Projects awarded include:

  • A $1,251,974 contract was awarded to ASA Asphalt, Inc., Advance, Mo., for improvements to Route 60 outer roads, Route 51 at the Mingo National Wildlife Refuge (Mingo NWR) and roads within the refuge in Stoddard County. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service provided $900,000 in funding for the project. The project includes an overlay on Route 60 near Route TT at Fisk. Additionally, the project includes widening and resurfacing Route 51 at Mingo NWR north of Puxico.
  • A $125,000 contract was awarded to Fronabarger Concreters, Inc., Oak Ridge, Mo., for improvements to Interstate 55 and Interstate 57 in Cape Girardeau, Mississippi, Perry, Ste. Genevieve and Scott Counties. The project includes on-call concrete pavement repairs on I-55 from Route 32 in Ste. Genevieve County to Route 60 in Scott County, as well as on I-57 in Mississippi County. 
  • A $153,125 contract was awarded to Apex Paving Co., Cape Girardeau, Mo., for improvements to Interstate 55 and Interstate 57 in Cape Girardeau, Mississippi, Perry, Ste. Genevieve and Scott Counties. The project includes on-call asphalt pavement repairs on I-55 from Route 32 in Ste. Genevieve County to Route 60 in Scott County, as well as on I-57 in Mississippi County. 
  • A $125,000 contract was awarded to Fronabarger Concreters, Inc., Oak Ridge, Mo., for improvements to Interstate 55 and Interstate 155 in New Madrid and Pemiscot Counties. The project includes on-call concrete pavement repairs on I-55 from Route 60 in Scott County to the Arkansas Stateline and on I-155.
  • A $174,875 contract was awarded to Apex Paving Co., Cape Girardeau, Mo., for improvements to Interstate 55 and Interstate 155 in New Madrid and Pemiscot Counties. The project includes on-call asphalt pavement repairs on I-55 from Route 60 in Scott County to the Arkansas Stateline and on I-155.
