Sign replacement in Andrew, Buchanan counties to begin March 9

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted Collins & Hermann, Inc. for a project to replace large, overhead directional signage on Interstate 29, I-229 and U.S. Route 59 in Andrew County and I-29, U.S. Route 36, I-229, Route 59, Missouri Route 6 and Francis and Charles streets in Buchanan County. The project is scheduled to begin on Monday, March 9.

Traffic Impacts: Short-term lane closures may be in place while crews replace signs along each roadway.

Work zone updates will be provided on the Traveler Information Map (http://traveler.modot.org/map/) and on the Planned Roadwork for Northwest Missouri press release sent out each Friday afternoon. The press release can be viewed by signing up for eUpdates at MoDOT E-Updates.

All signs are anticipated to be completed by June 2026.

All work is weather permitting and could be rescheduled.
