ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Twenty-nine bridges in Atchison, Holt and Nodaway counties are scheduled for rehabilitation. The Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted Capital Paving & Construction, LLC to complete the project. These bridges were included in the Safe and Sound Bridge program which rebuilt more than 800 bridges approximately 14 years ago. The first bridge rehabilitation is scheduled to begin on the Holt County Route B bridge over Nichols Creek, south of New Point, on Monday, March 16.
Traffic Impacts: During construction, each roadway will be narrowed to one lane with flaggers directing motorists through the work zone. Workers will be present during daylight hours, Monday through Friday.

- Route C over Tarkio River
- Route B over Halls Branch
- Missouri Route 46 over East Fork Hickory Creek
- Route V over Main Drainage Ditch #6
- Missouri Route 111 over Drainage Ditch
- Route B over Rock Creek
- Missouri Route 46 over Hickory Creek
- Missouri Route 46 over Little Tarkio Drainage Ditch
Holt County:
- Missouri Route 111 over Cannon Creek
- Route C over Minnesota Valley Creek
- Route C over Wildcat Creek
- Missouri Route 111 over Corn Creek
- Route N over Middle Branch Minnesota Valley Creek
- Route N over East Branch Minnesota Valley Creek
- Route C over Middle Branch Minnesota Valley Creek
- U.S. Route 59 over Little Tarkio River Creek
- Route C over East Branch Minnesota Valley Creek
- Route B over Nichols Creek
- Route B over Lincoln Creek
- Missouri Route 111 over Old Channel Tarkio River
Nodaway County:
- Missouri Route 113 over Cuyhoga Creek

All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change. The project is scheduled to be completed in October.
