Public Meeting to be Held for MO 47/I-70 Interchange Improvements

Included in the Improve I-70 Program: Warrenton to Wentzville Project

HANNIBAL – The public is invited to an informational meeting to learn about the Missouri Route 47 bridge replacement over Interstate 70 and interchange improvements in Warrenton.  The public meeting is planned for Monday, March 16, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Warrenton High School Commons Area located at 803 Pinckney St. Warrenton, MO 63383

Details about the project, including a project schedule and construction phasing, will be shared at the meeting through displays and discussions with Missouri Department of Transportation engineers and the Improve I-70 Alliance contractor team of Emery Sapp and Sons, Clarkson Construction, HNTB, and Bartlett and West. The meeting is open-house style, so there will be no formal presentation; attendees can attend anytime between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.  Weather permitting, bridge construction is expected to start in late March / early April .  All displays and information provided at the public meeting will be posted on the project web page by March 16: Improve I-70: Warrenton to Wentzville Public Involvement | Missouri Department of Transportation.

Missouri’s FY2024 budget, approved through the state legislative process and signed into law by the governor, provides $2.8 billion in General Revenue to build a third lane of I-70 across the state. The program will plan, design, construct, reconstruct, rehabilitate, and add a third lane in each direction on nearly 200 miles of I-70, from Blue Springs to Wentzville.
