ST. CHARLES COUNTY – Crews with the Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville Project will close the westbound Interstate 64 ramp to westbound Interstate 70 and one southbound Route 61 lane to set girders on the southbound Route 61 bridge over the westbound I-64/westbound I-70 ramp overnight Monday, March 2. All work is weather permitting.
The westbound I-64/I-70 ramp will close overnight Monday, March 2 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. The left lane of southbound Route 61 will close overnight on Tuesday, March 3 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
This work is part of the Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville Project covering the eastern portion of I-70. It was awarded in November 2024. Construction is tentatively set to take place 2025-2028.
Missouri’s FY2024 budget, approved through the state legislative process and signed into law by the governor, provides $2.8 billion in General Revenue to build a third lane of I-70 across the state. The program will plan, design, construct, reconstruct, rehabilitate, and add a third lane in each direction on nearly 200 miles of I-70, from Blue Springs to Wentzville.
