Online public comment period will run from 4 p.m. on Feb 23 until 4 p.m. on March 25.

MoDOT and the project team have completed an environmental study that investigated and identified improvements for the I-70: I-435 to I-470 corridor. The Environmental Assessment (EA) under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), evaluated potential impacts the proposed transportation improvements could have on the project area’s natural and manmade environment. The EA is available for review on the project web page: Interstate 70 Environmental Assessment in Jackson County | Missouri Department of Transportation

Written comments will be accepted for 30 days, from 4 p.m. on February 23 until 4 p.m. on March 25, 2026. For an overview of the suggested improvements and an opportunity to submit comments online, the public can visit Improve I-70.
