SIKESTON—The roundabout at the intersection of Route 51 and Route 72 in Patton, Missouri will be reduced with a 10-foot width restriction and 72-foot length restriction for concrete work.
During this time, a six-foot truck apron will be added to the roundabout.
A truck apron is a raised section of pavement around the central island of the roundabout. The truck apron will better accommodate large vehicles like school buses, semitrucks and farm equipment. It allows for the back wheels of an oversized truck to ride up as they circle around, helping them to maneuver through.
Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, March 2 through Monday, March 16 from 4 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The work zone will be in place 24 hours a day.
The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
