Republic, Greene County – Those interested in the Greene County Route MM Realignment Project in Republic are invited to a public meeting on Thursday, February 26, to discuss traffic impacts during construction and project information, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
The come-and-go style meeting will be held 4:30 – 6 p.m., Thursday, February 26, at the Republic City Council Chambers, 4221 S. Wilson’s Creek Blvd, Republic. No formal presentation is planned. Those who attend may come at any time between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. to learn about the project and ask questions.
Those unable to attend the in-person hearing can view exhibits and get project information by visiting www.modot.org/southwest. For those unable to access the online meeting, contact MoDOT’s Southwest District Office, and accommodations will be made to share the information and gather feedback.
This informational meeting marks the third in a series of public meetings held to engage the community on this project. Previous opportunities for public input were offered in February 2022 and April 2024.

Project highlights:
- Build new Route MM between Farm Road 160 and Route 60
- Widening of Route MM to 4 lanes between Farm Road 160 and Haile Street
- Roundabout on Route MM (Brookline Avenue) at Farm Road 160
- 8" raised concrete median from Route 60 to Haile Street with breaks at new Stone Falls Road/Commercial St. intersection
- Build a bridge over BNSF Railroad south of Haile Street
- Farm Road 164 closed west of Route 60
- Expand the existing intersection at Route 60 & Stone Creek Drive and connect to the new Route MM
- Close BNSF Railroad crossings at Route 60 and Farm Road 170, Route MM and Farm Road 168, and East Haile Street/Orr Street in Brookline
- Pedestrian trail along east side of the new Route MM from Route 60 to the pedestrian underpass east of new bridge over BNSF Railroad
- Sidewalk and pedestrian access improvements from Route 60 to Haile Street
Traffic Impacts
- Route MM at Farm Road 160 to be CLOSED during construction of the roundabout
- Lane closures on Route 60 near the existing Commercial Avenue/Farm Road 103 intersection
- Stone Creek Road and Commercial Avenue/Farm Road 103 CLOSED at Route 60 for up to 90 days
- Existing intersection at Route 60 and Commercial Avenue/Farm Road 103 permanently closed following project completion
- Farm Road 164 west of Route 60 is permanently closed following project completion
- Railroad crossings closed at Route 60 and Farm Road 170, Route MM and Farm Road 168, and East Haile Street/Orr Street in Brookline
Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, February 16
Contractor: Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc., Columbia
The estimated project cost is $22.7 million.
The project is scheduled for completion by May 2028.
