Kansas City area maintenance work for Feb. 9-13

LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from Feb. 9 until Feb. 13. All work is weather permitting.

JOHNSON COUNTY

Route CC between NE 950 Rd. and NE 1100 Rd.: flagging operations from Monday, Feb. 9 until Wednesday, Feb. 11, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for brush cutting.

LAFAYETTE COUNTY

Missouri Highway 23 between U.S. Highway 24 and Johnson County line: flagging operations from Monday, Feb. 9 until Friday, Feb. 13, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for shoulder repair work.

PETTIS COUNTY

U.S. Highway 65 northbound between Honda Rd. and Elm Hills Blvd.: lane closure from Monday, Feb. 9 until Friday, Feb. 13, from approximately 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily, for shoulder work.

RAY COUNTY

Route C between Route M and Route D: flagging operations on Monday, Feb. 9, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for drainage work.

Route Y between Missouri Highway 10 and end of state maintenance: flagging operations from Monday, Feb. 9 until Friday, Feb. 13, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for shoulder repair work.

Route D between Missouri Highway 13 and Mayes Rd.: flagging operations from Tuesday, Feb. 10 until Wednesday, Feb. 11, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for drainage work.

MO-10 between Business Highway 10 and Route A: flagging operations on Wednesday, Feb. 11, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for sign work.

Route C between 216th St. and end of state maintenance: flagging operations on Friday, Feb. 13, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for brush removal.

MoDOT maintenance crews often perform other tasks throughout the work week such as pothole patching, litter pick-up, snow plowing, brush cutting, and other operations that are not included above as they pose limited impacts to traffic.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
