Commission Awards Contracts for Southeast District Projects

SIKESTON - The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded contracts for Southeast District projects during its regular meeting on April 21. Awarded contracts included on-call pavement repairs and pavement and intersection improvements.

Projects awarded include:

  • A $1,057,031 contract was awarded to Lappe Cement Finishing, Inc., Perryville, Mo., for improvements to Route 25 in Cape Girardeau County. The project includes grading and paving from the Jackson Trail to south of Jackson South Elementary School. Traffic signals will also be installed at the Route 25 intersection to help accommodate drivers making left turns.
  • A $345,720 contract was awarded to Fronabarger Concreters, Inc., Oak Ridge, Mo., for improvements to Interstate 55 and Interstate 57 in Cape Girardeau, Mississippi, Perry, Ste. Genevieve and Scott Counties. 
  • A $618,900 contract was awarded to Chester Bross Const. Co./C.B. Equipment Inc., Hannibal, Mo., for improvements to Interstate 55 and Interstate 57 in Cape Girardeau, Mississippi, Perry, Ste. Genevieve and Scott Counties. 
  • A $345,720 contract was awarded to Fronabarger Concreters, Inc., Oak Ridge, Mo., for improvements to Interstate 55 and Interstate 155 in New Madrid and Pemiscot Counties. 
  • A $655,540 contract was awarded to Apex Paving Co., Cape Girardeau, Mo., for improvements to Interstate 55 and Interstate 155 in New Madrid and Pemiscot Counties. 
  • A $943,950 contract was awarded to Jokerst Paving & Contracting, Inc., Festus, Mo., for improvements to Route 67 in St. Francois County. The project includes grading and paving to construct an outer road.  Improvements will extend from Hedgeapple Lane to Route K near Bonne Terre. 
  • A $640,806 contract was awarded to Kolb Grading, LLC, St. Charles, Mo., for improvements to Route 67 in Wayne County. The project includes grading and paving from County Road 220 to south of Route 34 near Silva.  A new, low-water bridge will also be constructed over Frazier Creek.
