SIKESTON - The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded contracts for Southeast District projects during its regular meeting on Oct. 7. Awarded contracts included bridge and pavement improvements.
The project awarded includes:
- A $232,072 contract was awarded to All Type Excavating Inc./dba L. Krupp Construction, Inc., Ellisville, Mo., for improvements to the Route N bridge at Cline's Island in Stoddard County.
- A $512,802 contract was awarded to All Type Excavating Inc./dba L. Krupp Construction, Inc., Ellisville, Mo., for improvements to the Route UU bridge over Interstate 57, near the City of Charleston in Mississippi County.
- A $1,940,628 contract was awarded to G & M Concrete & Asphalt Co., Inc., Troy, Mo., for improvements to County Road 337 in Pemiscot County. The project will include widening and resurfacing from Route 84 to Route U, near the City of Caruthersville.
- A $2,348,089 contract was awarded to Apex Paving Co., Cape Girardeau, Mo., for improvements Route W in Cape Girardeau County. Funding for this project was received through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Improvements will extend from Lexington Ave. to the new LaSalle Ave. The project will include resurfacing, shoulder improvements, adding centerline and edge line rumble strips, improving the intersections at County Road 620 and Perryville Road, and improving drainage structures.
