SIKESTON - The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded contracts for Southeast District projects during its regular meeting on Sept. 2. Awarded contracts included bridge and pavement improvements.
The project awarded includes:
- A $767,924 contract was awarded to HBI Construction, LLC, Villa Ridge, Mo., for improvements to the Route 8 Bridge over Big River in St. Francois County. This is the final contract to be awarded for Safe and Sound bridge improvements in St. Francois County.
- A $291,894 contract was awarded to R.L. Persons Construction Inc., Poplar Bluff, Mo., for improvements to Route EE in New Madrid County. The project includes guardrail removal and slope shaping at the Marston I-55 interchange, including the ramps and outer roads.
