MoDOT to close one westbound I-70 lane in Wentzville for concrete pavement repairs TONIGHT, Dec. 18

ST. CHARLES COUNTY – Crews with the Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville Project will close one westbound Interstate 70 lane between Wentzville Parkway and David Hoekel Parkway TONIGHT, Thursday, Dec. 18 from 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. for concrete pavement repairs. All work is weather permitting.

The new pavement was damaged because of an overturned lumber truck crash that occurred Thursday morning, Dec. 18.

This work is part of the Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville Project covering the eastern portion of I-70. It was awarded in November 2024. Construction is tentatively set to take place 2025-2028.

Missouri’s FY2024 budget, approved through the state legislative process and signed into law by the governor, provides $2.8 billion in General Revenue to build a third lane of I-70 across the state. The program will plan, design, construct, reconstruct, rehabilitate, and add a third lane in each direction on nearly 200 miles of I-70, from Blue Springs to Wentzville.
