ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted E&C Bridge, LLC to complete a bridge deck replacement project on four bridges in Carroll, Chariton and Livingston Counties. The Livingston County Route D bridge over the Shoal Creek Drainage Ditch reopened to traffic yesterday, Wednesday, Dec. 10.
The Route D bridge had been closed since Oct. 13.
Listed below are the remaining bridges included in this project:
- Carroll County Route JJ over West Fork Wakenda Creek, northwest of Norborne. The bridge is expected to reopen in mid-December 2025.
- Carroll County Route B over Sambo Creek, south of Wakenda. The bridge is expected to reopen in mid-January 2026.
- Chariton County Route KK over the Little Chariton River. The bridge is scheduled to close on Monday, Dec. 15, through March 2026.
