JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The entrance to Westview Drive in Versailles is set to close for a culvert replacement to help address flooding issues.
Construction crews, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, anticipate beginning installation of a larger culvert at the entrance with Missouri Route 5 on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025. All businesses will remain accessible. Westview Drive is expected to reopen Dec. 23, 2025; however, work will be ongoing.
All work is weather-permitting and subject to change.
The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded a $5,041,329.32 contract to S & A Equipment & Builders, LLC for the project that includes installing a roundabout at the junction of Route 5 and Route 52, expanding Route 52 to three lanes (providing one lane of travel in each direction with a shared center turn lane), and replacing existing culverts with larger structures to address flooding concerns. The project is expected to be completed in early 2026.
