MoDOT: Greene County Route FF and Weaver Road Intersection Project in Battlefield

Focus of Public Meeting December 16

Battlefield – Those interested in a Greene County Route FF and Weaver Road Intersection and Lane Widening Project in Battlefield are invited to a public meeting to discuss proposed improvements and project information on Tuesday, December 16, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

The come-and-go style meeting will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16, at the Battlefield Fire Protection District, 4117 W. 2nd Street, Battlefield. No formal presentation is planned. Those who attend may come at any time between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. to learn about the project and ask questions.

Those unable to attend the in-person hearing can view exhibits and get project information by visiting www.modot.org/southwest. Comments on this project can be mailed in, emailed, or submitted online through the project website until Tuesday, December 30. For those unable to access the online meeting, contact MoDOT’s Southwest District Office, and accommodations will be made to share the information and gather feedback.

Project highlights:

  • Proposed improvements under consideration in Battlefield include:
    • A roundabout at the intersection of Route FF and Weaver Road
    • 3-lane widening of Weaver Road from just east of Route FF to Cloverdale Lane (funded by the City of Battlefield)
    • Pedestrian facilities are part of the intersection and widening project

Traffic Impacts:

  • Drivers can expect occasional lane closures, lane shifts, and traffic delays
  • Weaver Road Closed at Route FF for a short period of time as crews tie in the roundabout to Weaver Road
    • A signed detour will be provided during this time
  • Electronic message boards and news releases will notify the public of traffic impacts
  • Drivers urged to use alternate routes during construction to avoid the work zone

Construction is planned to start in Fall 2027.

Estimated Total Cost: $7.3 million.
