CLAY AND PLATTE COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing guardrail repair resulting in various traffic modifications, on Interstate 29 from just south of Mexico City Ave. to U.S. 69. All ramp closures will be performed individually to reduce impact to the traveling public. Motorists may experience delays. All work is weather permitting.
The following locations will experience intermittent lane and ramp closures Monday, December 1 - Friday, December 12 from 7:30 PM until 6:00 AM, Mon. – Fri.
- Intermittent lane closures for guardrail repair:
- NB/SB I-29 from Mexico City Ave. to U.S. 69
- Intermittent ramp closures for guardrail repair:
- Ramp from SB U.S. 69 to NB I-29, Tuesday, Dec. 2
- Ramp from NB I-29 to NB U.S. 169, Tuesday, Dec. 2 – Wednesday, Dec. 3
- Ramp from SB U.S. 169 to NB I-29, Dec. 2, Dec. 4, Dec. 5 & Dec. 8
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can also be short-term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
