Route K in Montgomery County Scheduled to Close for Bridge Replacement Project

HANNIBAL - Weather permitting, as early as December 8, Montgomery County Route K is scheduled to close over the Loutre River, 0.4 mile west of Missouri Route 19, near Big Spring, as work begins on a bridge replacement project. Work is estimated to be completed in the Spring of 2026. All work is weather dependent and schedules are subject to change.

Included in this contract is an additional bridge replacement project, located on Route K over Dry Fork Creek, 1.8 miles west of MO 19, near Big Spring with construction anticipated to begin immediately following the completion of the Loutre River bridge.

Gene Haile Excavating, Inc. was awarded the contract in earlier this year in the amount of $3.9M.
