UPDATE - Nighttime Lane Restrictions Scheduled on Interstate 70 for Pavement Repairs

Various Locations from mile marker 153.2 in Callaway Co. to mile marker 193 in Warren Co.

HANNIBAL – Weather permitting, as early as December 4, ccontractor crews with N.B. West Contracting Company will begin pavement repairs at various locations along eastbound and westbound Interstate 70 in Callaway, Montgomery and Warren counties. Repair work will take place, between mile marker 153.2 near Calwood in Callaway County to mile marker 193 at Warrenton in Warren County, at the following locations:

  • Exit 175 - westbound I-70 on-ramp at the MO 19/I-70 interchange at New Florence (Montgomery County)
  • Exit 179 - eastbound I-70 on-ramp at Route F/I-70 interchange at High Hill (Montgomery County)
  • Exit 183 at the Routes E/Y and I-70 interchange at Jonesburg (Montgomery County)
    • Westbound I-70 on-ramp
    • Eastbound I-70 on-ramp
  • Mile Marker 192.8 to 193 - eastbound I-70 driving lane, between mile marker 192.3 and mile marker 193 (Warren County)

Weather and time permitting, additional repairs at the following locations listed below may be completed this month or will be postponed until next Spring.

  • Mile Marker 153.2 - eastbound I-70 traffic lanes and right shoulder, between Route JJ and Auxvasse Creek, near Calwood (Callaway County)
  • Mile Marker 165.6 - westbound I-70 driving lane, near Route N, approximately 4.5 miles west of Exit 170 MO 161/Route J Danville/Montgomery City (Montgomery County)

All work will occur during nighttime hours between 7:30 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. Motorists can expect possible delays as traffic will be reduced to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction in place where workers are present.

All work is weather dependent, and schedules are subject to change. For the safety of the crews and the traveling public, we would like to remind drivers to be attentive in work zones and put down your cell phones to eliminate distractions.
