Kansas City area maintenance work for Nov. 24-26

LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from Nov. 24-26. No work is scheduled on Nov. 27-28 due to the Thanksgiving holiday. All work is weather permitting.

JACKSON COUNTY

Interstate 70 eastbound ramp to Interstate 470 southbound: short-term ramp closure on Monday, Nov. 24, from approximately 9 a.m. until 12:00pm, for brush cutting.

Interstate 70 westbound on-ramp from Brooklyn Ave. and off-ramp to The Paseo: ramps closed on Monday, Nov. 24 and Tuesday, Nov. 25, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily, for brush cutting.

Truman Rd. at Stark Ave.:

  • Right lane closed on Truman Rd. eastbound from approximately 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 24 until Tuesday, Nov. 25 at approximately 2 p.m. for concrete replacement work.
  • Stark Ave. south closed at Truman Rd. on Tuesday, Nov. 25, from approximately 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., for concrete replacement work.

Missouri Highway 350 eastbound between Noland Rd. & Colbern Rd.: left lane closed on Monday, Nov. 24 and Tuesday, Nov. 25, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily, for culvert work.

JOHNSON COUNTY

Missouri Highway 23 between Route DD and Route D: flagging operations on Monday, Nov. 24 and Tuesday, Nov. 25, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for shoulder repair work.

LAFAYETTE COUNTY

Missouri Highway 224 in Lexington between Highland Ave. east and Highland Ave. west: road closed until approximately 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 25 (began on Tuesday, Nov. 18), for brush cutting.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
