Route A Otter Creek, Small Creek Bridge Projects in Wayne County

MoDOT plans to improve two bridges located on Route A in Wayne County. 

The bridge projects include:  

• Rehabilitating the Route A bridge over Otter Creek, located south of County Road 430.
• Replacing the Route A bridge over Small Creek, located between County Road 371 and County Road 400.

Work to improve the bridges could begin as early as winter 2026-2027. 

During construction, the roadway will be closed in the vicinity of each bridge for approximately two months, weather permitting. Construction schedules will be coordinated to avoid closing the bridges simultaneously.
