JOHNSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation has reopened the Business Highway 50 intersection at U.S. Highway 50 west of Warrensburg. Access to Business 50 was closed in June 2025 as part of an intersection improvements project along US-50. For more information about the project, visit the project webpage here: U.S. Route 50 Safety and Operational Improvements in Johnson County | Missouri Department of Transportation. Work on the project is ongoing.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
