ST. LOUIS – Drivers in the city of St. Louis and Jefferson County should be aware of upcoming significant ramp and road closures.
Crews will close the ramp from eastbound Interstate 44 to southbound Interstate 55 in the city of St. Louis overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. November 20-21 and November 24-25. In addition, the ramp from Jefferson to eastbound I-44 and southbound I-55 will be closed those same nights from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
To detour around the ramp closure, drivers can continue on eastbound I-44 to 7th and Park (Exit 290C), get back onto southbound I-55 on 7th Street and continue south.
In Jefferson County, crews will close McNutt Street under I-55 from 9 p.m. Friday, November 21 to 5 a.m. Monday, November 24 for bridge demolition. Traffic on I-55 has been shifted onto a new bridge over McNutt Street allowing for demolition of the old northbound bridge.
All lanes of I-55 will remain open. Detours for McNutt Street will be marked.
