ST. CHARLES COUNTY – Crews with the Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville Project will close the North Service Road west of Route W at the Interstate 70 and Route T/W interchange in Foristell beginning at 9 p.m. Monday, October 27. The outer road will remain closed for 60 days. All work is weather permitting.
Motorists can access the westbound North Service Road by using the westbound I-70 on ramp at the interchange to exit at a temporary exit for the service road. North Service Road traffic cannot go east at the temporary exit. Eastbound North Service Road traffic detours to the Elm Street interchange exit in Wright City (exit 200). The North Service Road east of the Route T/W interchange remains two-way. This work is part of the interchange reconstruction of the I-70 and Route T/W interchange to allow for a third lane of I-70 in both directions.
This work is part of the Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville Project covering the eastern portion of I-70. It was awarded in November 2024. Construction is set to continue through 2028.
Missouri’s FY2024 budget, approved through the state legislative process and signed into law by the governor, provides $2.8 billion in General Revenue to build a third lane of I-70 across the state. The program will plan, design, construct, reconstruct, rehabilitate, and add a third lane in each direction on nearly 200 miles of I-70, from Blue Springs to Wentzville.
