Route U in Miller County to close next week

Local crews to replace culvert Oct. 22

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. Local crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation plan to close a short segment of Miller County Route U next week to replace a culvert. From 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 22, Route U will close just north of the junction with Miller County Route EE 

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change. 

During the closure, local property owners will be able to access driveways, but through traffic will need to seek an alternate route. 

MoDOT asks all motorists to work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, obeying all traffic signs, and slowing down and moving over in work zones. Motorists are advised to use extra caution through work zones, obey all traffic signs, and avoid any distractions.
