REMINDER

REMINDER: CASS AND JACKSON COUNTIES – The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is seeking public input regarding Interstate 49 Corridor Upgrades in Cass and Jackson Counties. The comment period opened at 4 p.m. on Thurs., Oct. 2 until 4 p.m. on Thurs. Oct. 16. The public is invited to leave questions and comments on the project webpage. A public meeting was held on Thursday, Oct. 2 from 4:30 pm until 6:30 pm at Mill Creek Upper Elemenary School located at 308 S Cleveland Ave, Belton, MO 64012.

The purpose of the project is to improve traffic flow and safety along the I-49 corridor in Jackson and Cass Counties. The project is scheduled to be let in November 2027 with construction beginning in Spring 2028. Detailed traffic impacts are yet to be determined, but it’s likely that lane closures and detours would impact traffic flow during the project construction.
