JEFFERSON COUNTY- Drivers who plan to travel U.S. Route 67 in south Jefferson County during the weekend of October 3-5 should be prepared for delays as crews will completely close both directions of US 67.
On Friday, October 3, and Saturday, October, MoDOT will demolish the old northbound Interstate 55 bridge over US 67.
Crews will begin closing lanes in both directions of US 67 at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 3, with all lanes expected to be closed by 9 p.m. for the bridge removal.
All lanes will reopen by 6 a.m. Saturday, October 4, and will close again at 9 p.m., reopening by 6 a.m. Sunday, October 5, to continue bridge demolition.
All lanes of US 67 will be reopened by 5 a.m. Monday, October 6.
Detour routes for the nightly closures on US 67 include:
Northbound traffic on US 67 will be detoured onto southbound I-55 and travel to Exit 170, where drivers can exit, then travel south on US 61 and continue north via northbound I-55.
Southbound traffic on US 67 detours via westbound Route A to I-55 exit 175, where drivers will be able to continue southbound on I-55 to reach southbound US 67.
Drivers on northbound I-55 wanting to travel south on US 67 will be detoured onto northbound US 67 at exit 174 and detour via westbound Route A to I-55 exit 175, where drivers will be able to continue southbound I-55 to reach southbound US 67. All detours will be signed.
