I-70 near mile marker 134 narrowed due to damaged barrier wall

One lane in each direction closed through Monday evening, Sept. 29

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Interstate 70, east of Columbia, is reduced to one lane in each direction due to damage to the barrier wall. Construction crews are working to make repairs and anticipate reopening all lanes by Monday evening, Sept. 29.

On Sunday evening, Sept. 28, a vehicle crash significantly damaged the barrier wall near mile marker 134 on I-70. While one lane in each direction was reopened Sunday evening, the left lanes of both east and westbound will remain closed until the barrier wall is repaired.

Drivers traveling I-70 in this area should allow for extra time as backups are expected. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention in work zones. Buckle Up. Phone Down.
