Now Open: Ramp to southbound I-29 from Route 71

U.S. Route 71 to Interstate 29 acceleration lane extension in Andrew County

ST> JOSEPH, Mo. – The ramp and acceleration lane from southbound U.S. Route 71 to southbound Interstate 29 in Andrew County opened yesterday, Tuesday, Sept. 16.

Leavenworth Excavating & Equipment Company, Inc., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, extended the acceleration lane to allow oncoming traffic more time to merge onto the interstate.

The ramp has been closed since July 28.
