PLATTE COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting intermittent lane closures on Missouri Highway 273 and Missouri Highway 371 as part of an intersection improvement project in Tracy, MO. Work will take place from approximately 7 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday-Saturday, Tuesday, Sept. 16 until Monday, Dec. 8. Crews will utilize intermittent lane closures and flagging operations throughout the project. Motorists may experience delays.
Intersection improvements at MO-273 and MO-371 will include:
- Addition of a turn lane from MO-273 northbound to Tracy Dr.
- Installation of traffic signals at the intersection
- Widening of the shoulder of the roadway near the intersection
- Widening of Tracy Dr. from the entrance of the Trex Mart gas station to the intersection at MO-371 and MO-273
All work is weather permitting.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can also be short-term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
