Online comment period regarding U.S. 40 Corridor Improvements in Jackson County, NOW - Sept. 11

REMINDER JACKSON COUNTY –  The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is seeking public input regarding U.S. Route 40 Corridor Upgrades between Cliff Avenue and Little Blue Parkway in Jackson County | Missouri Department of Transportation. The comment period opened at 4 pm on Thursday, August 28 until 4 pm on Tuesday, September 11. The public is invited to leave questions and comments on the project webpage. A public meeting was held on Thursday, Aug. 28 at the Mid-Continent Public Library Independence Branch.

Corridor and signal upgrades on U.S. Route 40 from Cliff Avenue to Little Blue Parkway will improve traffic flow and safety along the U.S. 40 corridor. This project has an August 2026 letting, with most of the work anticipated to begin Spring 2027 construction season (after the World Cup in 2026).
