MoDOT shifts traffic on SB I-270 near I-64 starting Tuesday

ST. LOUIS – Drivers who use Interstate 270 near Interstate 64 should be aware of shifted traffic lanes starting next week.

Weather permitting, Tuesday, September 9 and Wednesday, September 10, between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m., crews will close up to two lanes on southbound I-270 near I-64 (mile marker 12) to move traffic to the new concrete ramps for I-64 and to shift southbound I-270 traffic to the left under the I-64 overpasses.

On Thursday, September 11, before morning rush, crews will have moved traffic to the right, so they can work in the area between the southbound lanes and the ramps for eastbound and westbound I-64.  Drivers need to be aware of the changing traffic pattern and ensure that they are in the new exit lanes for I-64 as they will not be able to cross from the southbound lanes to the ramps while traffic is shifted.

The work is part of the on-going project to replace the I-270 bridge over Conway Road and the widening of the I-270 bridge over Ladue Road.  For more on the project, visit: https://www.modot.org/projects/interstate-270-bridge-replacement-conway-road-st-louis.
