Kansas City area maintenance work for Sept. 8-12

LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from Sept. 8-12. All work is weather permitting.

CASS COUNTY

Route B bridge over South Grand River between Route T and S Cantrell Rd.: lane reduction with temporary traffic signal from Monday, Sept. 8 until Wednesday, Sept. 10., from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for bridge work.

JACKSON COUNTY

Route F between U.S. Highway 50 and Cobern Rd.: flagging operations from Monday, Sept. 8, until Thursday, Sept. 10, from approximately 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily, for pavement repair.

6th St. along I-70 from Broadway Blvd. to Baltimore Ave.: left lane closed on Tuesday, Sept. 9, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., for guardrail repair.

U.S. Highway 71 northbound on-ramp from 75th St.: ramp closed on Wednesday, Sept. 10, from approximately 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., for brush clearing.

Route V (Noland Rd.) between Little Blue Rd. and 61st St.: flagging operation on Thursday, Sept. 11, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., for signal work.

JOHNSON COUNTY

Route V between Missouri Highway 13 to end of state maintenance: flagging operation on Monday, Sept. 8, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m, for pavement repair.

Route BB between Missouri Business Highway 13 and Route F: flagging operation from Tuesday, Sept. 9 until Thursday, Sept. 11, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement repair work.

LAFAYETTE COUNTY

Route N between U.S. Highway 24 and end of state maintenance: road closed on Monday, Sept. 8, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pavement repair work.

Route AA between Missouri Highway 23 and Johnsons Crove Rd.: flagging operations on Tuesday., Sept. 9, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pavement repair work.

Route TT between Jackson County line and Route OO: flagging operations from Tuesday, Sept. 9 until Thursday, Sept. 11, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.

Route E between Benton Lane and Brush Creek Rd.: full closure on Monday, Sept. 8 and Tuesday, Sept. 9, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for culvert replacement work.

RAY COUNTY

Route K: daily closures from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. for culvert replacement work:

  • Monday, Sept. 8: between Route A and Bowen Rd.
  • Tuesday, Sept. 9: between Missouri Highway 13 and Docery Rd.

Route V between MO-13 and Wollard Rd.: full closure on Wednesday, Sept. 10, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for culvert replacement work.

Route B at 200th St.: flagging operation on Thursday, Sept. 11, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for culvert replacement work.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
