LAFAYETTE COUNTY – Crews will be closing the ramp from Old Highway 40 to Interstate 70 eastbound in Bates City as well as conducting a flagging operation on Old Hwy 40 just east of Lafayette County Route D on Thursday, Aug. 28, from approximately 7 a.m. until 3 p.m., for pavement repair work. All work is weather permitting.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
