When: Beginning week of September 1 for up to 60 days
What: Contractor crews beginning construction of roundabout
Traffic Impacts:
- North side of U.S. Route 60/Route HH (Carl Sweeney Parkway) intersection CLOSED for up to 60 days beginning week of September 1
- Route HH traffic approaching Route 60 from the north will have no access to Route 60 while intersection is CLOSED
- Drivers will have access to all businesses north of Route 60
- Route HH traffic approaching Route 60 from the south will have no access to Route HH north of the intersection, but will have access to Route 60 via a temporary bypass
- Drivers traveling east- or westbound on Route 60 will not be affected, but will have no access to Route HH north of the intersection
- No signed detours
- Drivers urged to find alternate routes
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zone
- Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
This work is part of a project to make improvements at six (6) intersections along U.S. Route 60 between Newton County Route Y east of Seneca and Missouri Route 97 in Barry County near the Monett Regional Airport. More information can be found by going to the project website.
