PLATTE COUNTY –The Missouri Department of Transportation will close the Interstate 29 northbound flyover ramp to NW 120th St. westbound, the flyover ramp into the Kansas City International Airport., starting Tuesday, Aug. 26 until Sept. 14 at approximately 9:00 a.m. for bridge deck patching and resurfacing. Motorists traveling to the airport on I-29 NB are encouraged to take the (non-flyover) ramp at exit 13 from NB I-29 to NW 120th St. westbound All work is weather permitting.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
