MoDOT Names New Leader in Southeast District

SIKESTON – Donnie Brown has been named the district engineer for the Missouri Department of Transportation’s Southeast District. Brown will take over leadership of the 25-county region from Mark Croarkin, who took on the assistant chief engineer role with the department earlier this year.

A registered professional engineer and lifelong resident of southeast Missouri, Brown brings three decades of varied experience to the role. He’s spent the past two years representing the 149th district in the Missouri House of Representatives. He also worked as an engineer for New Madrid County for 30 years, most recently overseeing its road and bridge department.

“I’m honored and thrilled to join the MoDOT team and continue serving the various customers throughout southeastern Missouri, a place I’ve been fortunate to call home throughout my life,” Brown said. “Public service has been the steady theme of my career, and I look forward to continuing the foundational partnerships within these communities and the industry as we work to deliver a safe and reliable transportation system for citizens and travelers across the region.”
