Polk County – Drivers can expect occasional lane closures and traffic delays when a project to resurface Polk County Route FF near Halfway is scheduled to begin the week of September 2, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
This project resurfaces Route FF between Missouri Route 32 in Halfway and Polk County Route EE. Drivers are urged to use caution as they may experience a rough ride in areas until the resurfacing project is complete.
Traffic Impacts:
- Traffic reduced to one lane where contractor crews are laying asphalt
- Drivers will encounter flaggers and pilot cars where crews are working. Drivers should wait for the pilot vehicle before proceeding through the work zone or before entering the work zone from a side road.
- Drivers may encounter flaggers directing traffic through the work zone where crews are working
- Drivers urged to find alternate routes. No signed detours are planned.
- Electronic message boards located near the planned road work will alert drivers to any changes in the work schedule
- Electronic message boards and news releases will warn the public of future closures
- Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
