Where: Westbound Chestnut Expressway CLOSED at the railroad crossing between Kansas Expressway and Grant Avenue in Springfield
When: 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. Sunday, August 10
What: The Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway is doing repairs on the railroad. Westbound Chestnut Expressway will be CLOSED as crews replace a railroad mast arm at the crossing.
Traffic Impacts:
- Westbound Chestnut Expressway CLOSED at the railroad crossing between Kansas Expressway and Grant Avenue in Springfield
- Eastbound Chestnut Expressway is Open
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zone
- During the temporary Closure, drivers will need to follow the signed detour or seek an alternate route to avoid the work zone
- Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closures/traffic impacts
Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
