JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. –A resurfacing project on Missouri Route 19 is set to begin next week. The project will span 17 miles from U.S. Route 50 in Gasconade County to the Crawford County line.
Construction crews working with the Missouri Department of Transportation plan to begin work on Wednesday, Aug. 13, at the U.S. Route 50 junction. Throughout the project, crews plan to work Monday through Friday, daylight hours. Route 19 will remain open but reduced to one lane with flaggers and a pilot car directing motorists through the work zone. Work is expected to be complete by the end of October.
Motorists should exercise caution, eliminate distractions, and slow down through the single-lane work zones.
This resurfacing is part of a larger contract that also encompasses intersection improvements at U.S. Route 50 and Route CC in Linn, including installing a signalized intersection, and resurfacing on U.S. Route 50 from west of Linn to east of Rosebud.
All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
