ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Worth County Route W bridge over West Fork Grand River is scheduled to close beginning Aug. 18. Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, will be replacing the bridge.
Traffic Impacts: The West Fork Grand River Bridge on Route W will be closed around the clock until December. Motorists will need to seek an alternate route during the closure. The bridge is scheduled to be completed by mid-December 2025.
This is a part of a two-bridge project. The Worth County Route 46 bridge over Marlowe Branch Creek is scheduled to be replaced beginning in March.
All work is expected to be completed by mid-July 2026.
