Where: Westbound Chestnut Expressway lane Closures at the railroad crossing between Kansas Expressway and Grant Avenue in Springfield
When: Tuesday – Monday, August 5-11
What: The Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway is doing repairs on the railroad. There will be a temporary Closure of both Chestnut Expressway westbound lanes as crews replace a railroad mast arm at the crossing.
Traffic Impacts:
- Westbound Chestnut Expressway lane Closures at the railroad crossing between Kansas Expressway and Grant Avenue in Springfield
- Eastbound Chestnut Expressway is Open
- Traffic can expect a Temporary Closure of both Chestnut Expressway westbound lanes as crews replace the railroad mast arm
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zone
- During the temporary Closure, drivers will need to follow the signed detour or seek an alternate route to avoid the work zone
- Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closures/traffic impacts
