REVISED: Evening/Overnight Lane/Ramp Closures for Resurfacing on WB/EB I-470, Aug. 1-5

Work will take place on EB/WB I-470 between Hillcrest Rd. to Raytown Rd.

JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting the following evening/overnight lane and ramp closures on WB/EB I-470 for resurfacing operations.

Beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1 until 6 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2 (REVISED- NEW)

  • Double lane closures on WB I-470 between Raytown Rd. and Hillcrest Rd.
  • Ramp from Raytown Rd. to WB I-470, intermittent closures

Beginning at 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3 until 6 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 4 (REVISED- NEW)

  • Double lane closures on WB I-470 between Blue Ridge Blvd. and Hillcrest Rd.
  • Ramp from Blue Ridge Blvd. to WB I-470, closed
  • Ramp from WB I-470 to Blue Ridge Blvd., closed
  • Ramp from Blue Ridge Blvd. to EB I-470, closed
  • Ramp from EB I-470 to Blue Ridge Blvd., closed

Beginning at 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4 until 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 5 (REVISED – NEW)

  • Double lane closures on WB I-470 between Raytown Rd. and Hillcrest Rd.
  • Ramp from WB I-470 to Blue Ridge Blvd., intermittent closures
  • Ramp from Blue Ridge Blvd. to WB I-470, intermittent closures
  • Ramp from Raytown Rd. to WB I-470, intermittent closures

Motorists may experience delays. All work is weather permitting.

This work is part of a project to resurface EB/WB I-470 from Hickman Mills Dr. to Raytown Rd. in the summer of 2025.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
