ST. CHARLES COUNTY – Crews with the Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville Project will be closing the eastbound Interstate 70 exit ramp at the Foristell interchange at 9 p.m., Friday, August 8. The exit ramp is expected to reopen by 9 a.m., Saturday, August 9. All work is weather permitting.
Crews are closing the exit ramp to install a culvert as part of the construction of the new Foristell interchange to accommodate a third lane in each direction of I-70. Motorists traveling on eastbound I-70 wishing to access the Foristell exit can exit at the Wright City Exit #199 ramp and then continue eastbound on Veterans Memorial Parkway.
This work is part of the Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville Project covering the eastern portion of I-70. It was awarded in November 2024. Construction is set to continue through 2028.
Missouri’s FY2024 budget, approved through the state legislative process and signed into law by the governor, provides $2.8 billion in General Revenue to build a third lane of I-70 across the state. The program will plan, design, construct, reconstruct, rehabilitate, and add a third lane in each direction on nearly 200 miles of I-70, from Blue Springs to Wentzville.
